Unbroken Love by Firejoy Sunlight streamed through the window, waking Fox Mulder. He opened his eyes and looked down at the sleeping beauty spooned up against him. Mulder gently nuzzled her neck, kissing it softly. Dana Scully opened her eyes and stared sleepily up at him. Mulder grinned. " Hey sleepyhead." This made Scully chuckle. She turned her body to face him and whispered huskily in his ear, "Hey yourself." Mulder smiled, stroking auburn hair. And kissed her tenderly. God she tasted good. Her lips were soft and tender. The kiss was chaste, yet passionate. Scully broke away first. She looked at him with clear blue eyes. "Did you have a good night?", she asked slyly. "Well I dunno ... what do you think?, he replied mischievously. She gave him the infamous raised eyebrow and kissed him again. "Well from I experienced last night, I'd say you had a ball!" Mulder laughed. "You could say that." Oh he had had fun alright ... definitely. Last night had been the best sex of his life. Not even Phoebe or Diana could compare to his Scully. Scully got out of bed. "Come on Mulder. We're going to be late." "Late? For what?" Scully sighed and shook her head. "We're spending the day with my mum, Bill and Tara remember?" Mulder groaned and buried his head into a pillow. "Your brother hates me, Dana." "No he doesn't. he just doesn't know you well enough. That's why you have to come!" "Do I have to?" Mulder whined. Scully bent down and whispered huskily in his ear, "No sex for a week if you don't." That did the trick. Mulder shot out of bed and soon, they were on their way to Maggie Scully's house. Maggie Scully's house Maggie Scully peeked out the window. They were here. She sighed. It had been such a long time ago since she had seen all her children together. Not that they were all here now, with Melissa dead and Charlie busy with work, but she was happy to be seeing Dana and Bill. Speaking of Dana ... she smiled to herself as she watched her daughter and Fox get out of the car. She was glad those two and finally gotten the sense to get together! "Dana's here!" She called to Bill and Tara. "Great. Brought Spooky along as she?" Bill said bitterly. "Bill! I happen to think that Mulder's a great guy with his heart in the right place!" Tara scolded. Bill just scowled. Maggie glared at him, then opened the door. "Dana! Fox! So glad you're here! How are you, darling?" "I'm fine Mum. Everything's ok." Dana hugged and kissed her mother. Mulder stepped shyly forward and gave Maggie a hug. "Good to see you again Mrs Scully." "I'm always glad to see you too Fox." Mulder then stepped away to see an obviously annoyed Bill Scully staring at him. "Mulder", he said, "We meet again." Mulder forced himself to smile. "Yes we do." Scully, sensing the tension building between the two nem, quickly intervened. "So Bill, Tara! How's my nephew doing? Pity he couldn't come ... ..." She led them away from Mulder. Maggie looked at Mulder's worried face. "Don't worry. He'll be fine.' Mulder looked back at her and sighed. "I hope so." The rest of the day went fairly well. Mulder found that as long as he stayed away from Bill, he was fine. So he stuck with Scully throughout most of the day, and when she was with Bill, he stuck with Maggie. Until after dinner. After dinner, Maggie decided that all of them sit down together for drinks ... after all, she had room for them to spend the night. Mulder was reluctant to spend more time with Bill but he agreed for the sake of Scully and her mother. "So Mulder, seen any little green men lately?" Bill said sarcastically. "Mulder looked at him coolly. 'Actually they're grey." This caused Tara to chuckle. Then Bill got angry. "Listen! I don't give a damn what colour your little aliens are! All I want you to do is stay away from my family!" "Stop it Bill!" Dana shouted at him. "No Dana. It's for your own good. Look what he's done to you! You could be healthy and with children if it weren't for him!" Maggie slapped him across the face. "Don't you ever say that again Bill Scully!" "But Mum, he's the reason Missy's dead and Dana's sick!" At this, Tara, Dana and Maggie all started to say something but Mulder cut them off. "He's right. I am the cause of all that." "Fox no ... ..." Dana started. "No Dana", Mulder said, "He's right to blame me for everything" He looked at her sadly. "I just didn't want to admit it to myself." There were tears in his eyes. "I've got to go." "Fox wait!" Dana started to go after him but Bill grabbed her arm. "Let him go, Dana." Maggie said "He's taken the car you came in Dana. Here take mine." She handed the keys to her daughter. Scully smiled gratefully. "Thanks Mum." And she rushed out of the house. As she had expected, she found him at the nearby bar, drinking himself to death. She sat down beside him, not saying anything, just watching him drown his sorrows in alcohol. He turned to face her. "Leave me alone, Scully." 'No Fox. What Bill said just now wasn't true. You can't blame yourself Fox!" Mulder just shook his head and knocked back another shot of Tequila. Scully stopped the bartender from giving him anymore. "Let's go home Fox.", she said gently. "You're drunk. You need to rest. Let's just go, ok?" Mulder didn't speak for a while, then he nodded. "Ok." The Next Morning Mulder woke up with a headache that felt like a drum being pounded inside his skull. He moaned and closed his eyes. Then he remembered what had happened the day before, and his headache seemed to grow worse. "Hey how are you feeling?" Scully's voice came from somewhere near him. "Like shit." He heard her chuckle. "You sleep. We'll talk later." He could barely nod before dozing off again. When he awoke, it was late afternoon and as he got out of bed, he realised he was in Scully's house. He walked out of the room and found her on the couch watching TV. She looked up at him and smiled. "Welcome back. I was wondering if you were ever going to get up." He smiled warmly at her and joined her on the couch. "Mulder, about last night ... you can't blame yourself for anything that has happened to me. I love you and I always will. I've never regretted meeting you.", she said softly, running her fingers through his hair. Mulder looked into her eyes. He loved her so much. It hurt him to think he had caused her so much pain. But she had said that she didn't regret knowing him. He smiled. "I love you too." And he brought his lips to hers in a kiss that seemed to last forever. When they finally broke away, he looked at her and stroked her thigh and said slyly, "Why are you watching TV? Let's go have our own show in the bedroom." And they did. So what do you think?
